Amanda Siegert Glass Artist
Amanda Siegert is a Stained Glass Professional with over 30 years experience in all aspects of the design and manufacture of architectural and domestic Stained Glass.
My background is in surveying and mapping using aerial photography. I specialised in terrestrial (facade) mapping of old buildings and this is where my interest in stained glass really started. I work from my studio between Stafford and Uttoxeter at Amerton Farm on the A518.

From mapping old buildings to making new light
My path into glass was an unusual one. I spent years surveying and mapping historic buildings from aerial and facade photography — plotting the stonework and tracery of old churches in fine detail for English Heritage and CADW. Studying all those windows up close is where the love affair started.
I trained at Kensington and Chelsea College, worked as designer, painter and maker in a busy Reading studio, and set up on my own here in Staffordshire.
